Folded Horizon

A long, narrow canvas made to be read the way a landscape unfolds while walking rather than all at once. Each band is a slightly different temperature of the same base color, folded like a topographic map of a hillside the artist has never quite been able to name.

It was the first painting made after moving studios, and still carries a little of that unsettled, in-between feeling in its uneven, hand-cut bands.
